Septeo and BRYTER are expanding their partnership: BEAMON AI, our AI assistant for legal work, is being integrated into Septeo’s law firm software. The document management system Documents comes first, with the connection to the legal software Advoware following in a few weeks. For law firms, this means the AI will be available right where case files and documents already live.
What Changes Day to Day
Here’s where you’ll notice it, in three areas.
Research and drafting. The chat based AI assistant answers questions and writes first drafts without switching to another program. This saves time especially at the start of a matter, when there is a lot of material to review and the first brief needs to come together quickly.
Pulling information from existing documents. Deadlines, parties, contract clauses, amounts: what previously had to be searched for and typed up manually, BEAMON AI now reads directly from the documents already in the system.
Automation that builds on what’s already there. Documents, Lexolution, and Advoware P4 come with their own automation features. Combined with BEAMON AI, recurring tasks can be automated even further, rather than building a second, parallel process world.
Rolling Out in Two Steps
The connection to the document management system Documents will be available in the coming days. It is also open to all Lexolution firms that use Documents.
Direct integration with the practice management software Advoware follows in a few weeks.
In practice: if you’re already on Documents, you can get started right away. If you use Advoware, now’s the time to start planning the rollout.
Why Integration Makes the Difference
“AI is especially effective when it’s meaningfully integrated into existing processes,” says Dominik Franek, General Manager BU Lawyers & Notary at Septeo CNEE. The goal, he says, is to help law firms work more efficiently.
That matches what we hear from law firms ourselves. How useful an AI turns out to be depends less on what the model can theoretically do, and more on how many steps sit between a question and its answer. The smaller that number, the more a tool for occasional use becomes one for everyday work.
